Ebay 10 Piece Makeup Brush Set Review

Hey dolls! As you can see from the title, today I'll be reviewing a set of makeup brushes that I got off eBay and you may have seen these brushes in a recent small beauty haul if you're a regular reader of my humble blog. I've had several requests to review these brushes since I got them and I just wanted to make sure I used them enough as well as looked at how they would be after giving them a good clean in order to be able to give a good detailed review that you guys would find helpful.
So first impressions when I got them were pretty good; I liked the simple sleek design and was amazed by how fluffy and soft all the brushes were. They were a couple of things that caused slight concern at the start like a few little hairs falling out and some uneven hairs on the brush here and there but they were all really minor things and after the initial shedding there was literally no hairs falling off the brushes during makeup application. I also rectified the slightly longer strands by simply cutting them down to size with my scissors. Easy Peasy!
Makeup application with these brushes was astonishingly good and bare in mind that I had very little expectations with them being so cheap but I must say I was very pleasantly surprised. The bigger brushes worked really well with liquid, cream and powder based products and I did not feel like they made my makeup patchy or uneven in any way. The brushes were also very super soft on the skin which is something I look for in makeup brushes as I don't like that scratchy feeling you can sometimes get with certain makeup brushes. My favourite face brush is the angled fluffy brush which I love for bronzing all over the face and for applying blusher to my cheeks. Its so fluffy which is great as it doesn't add too much product to the face like some denser brushes.
I was also very impressed with the eye makeup brushes in the set which I felt were carefully crafted for their specific purposes. My favourite eye makeup brush from the set is the fluffy blending brush which I absolutely love for blending out eye shadows for a smooth transition in my eye makeup looks. I also enjoyed using the tapered eye shadow brush for concentrating shadow into the crease.
All in all I'm really impressed with these brushes for the price I paid and I'm even happier that all the brushes kept their form and didn't shed or disintegrate after I cleaned them which is something that tends to happen with cheaper/low quality makeup brushes. Would I recommend them? 1000% yes! Especially for all my beauty addicts out there on a budget. They're super affordable and I think this is also such a great set for someone starting out their makeup collection as you get 10 makeup brushes to cater to your everyday makeup application needs.
