Alternative Slip Dress with Sammy Dress

As promised I'm back with my second outfit review from my collaboration with Sammy Dress. The first review contained a lot of detail so if you missed it I suggest having a read because I plan to keep this one super quick and simple.

Slip dresses are all the rage right now and it can be extremely difficult to make "bedroom look everyday" so when I saw this alternative slip dress on the Sammy Dress website I knew it was perfect for me. It takes inspiration from the classic slip dress but with a twist. The bodice is made up of a plunging crochet lace detail while the skirt is full and pleated to give that romantic feel. It also comes with this cute striped crop top to layer underneath which I think just takes the dress to a new level and makes it not only extremely wearable but also very cool and edgy. I just love the contrast of all the different fabrics and textures in this bold but simple monochrome colour palette which also makes styling very easy and versatile. Keeping the styling simple I went with black mules and those sunnies and hooped earrings that I'm sure you're all tired of seeing and I think both items tied the look together quite well and complimented the main event.

In terms of the dress itself, the fit, the quality and similarity to what was on the website all get full marks from me. In terms of sizing, this dress fits sizes XS to M according to the website and I think it would definitely fit all those sizes as I'm usually an XS and I felt that this dress was a good fit on me but had room so that it could fit someone slightly bigger without looking awkward. Just keep in mind that if you're taller than I am it will probably be shorter and if you're more busty then it will probably be tighter on top.

All in all, I think Sammy Dress really hit the mark with this dress and I'm glad I picked it as my second choice. I can't wait to play around with styling a lot more and create some fun and interesting looks with this dress. How would you style this alternative slip dress? Talk soon guys!
