Never Leave A Dress Behind

January, notoriously known for being quite dry and boring. The festivities of Christmas and December are far behind us and it's quite literally time to stay in. On the plus side, the January sales are in full swing and there's never been a more perfect time to purchase those bits that you may have had your eye on for a while.

Not being one to resist a bargain, I got in on the action and recently shared some of my favourite January sale picks. I deliberately left out one item however and today I thought I'd share Clio. The forgotten dress; quite literally.

The ladies at Blue Vanilla had sent me this dress in December and I had all intentions of creating a festive party look. However, Life got in the way and I never got round to it. The dress is now in the January sale at only £16 and I thought I'd offer some styling inspiration for future nights out. I mean every girl needs a party dress in their wardrobe 'just in case', right?

With everything I look for in a going out dress such as long sleeves for the chill, sparkle for wow factor and detail to keep it on trend, this dress is absolutely perfect. Not only is it subtly sexy but it's also comfortable and a great length. Not too modest but not too short either. I was also feeling a little bit bold with my accessories when it came to pulling this look together and these amazing cobalt blue heels (that have been styled more casually here) added just that little bit extra. I thought the blue complimented the sparkle so well and brought the dress to life even more. I'll definitely be giving this dress pride of place in my wardrobe, you know, 'just in case'.
