Pink To Make The Boys Wink

I've never really been a fan of pink, even as a little girl. I was just never drawn to it on account of it being a little bit "too girly" (I was a tom-boy growing up). Pink has evolved over the years however and it's become less gender specific which is great! All credit due to my idol Kanye West for rocking that famous pink polo in the All Falls Down video. That was probably the moment when pink became cool to me. I mean if it's good enough for Yeezus, it's good enough for me!

You'll have seen that I've played around with pink before. Specifically in my Sorry Not Sorry post. I did keep it very safe and the pink was super muted but today I went full on. Go hard or go home and all that! I chose to pair this cute pink fine knit jumper from H&M with a black wrap skirt which you may have seen before in my Sunny Disposition post. I love the paper bag waist of the skirt. It toughens up the look and makes it less pink princess and more modern. Adding a tote back pack from Knomo London in the same pink shade also updated the look further by adding some edge and sass. I finished the look off with some black mules to keep the colour palette simple and I like how the look came together.

Talking about Knomo London; I just have to say that this tote back pack from their new Dalston collection is totally amazing. It comes in black if pink isn't to your taste and what you will love is it's spaciousness. It comes with a large main compartment which has a padded section for your laptop. Perfect if you're always working on the go. It also has a few mini compartments inside the main compartment and has two large pockets at the front for those items you need to access easily. I keep my passes and keys in there so that I'm not faffing about for ages when I need them. I also love that it has a concealed section at the back which is fastened with a popper for security. It is the absolute perfect bag for work and play and I can see myself using this for work or as an overnight or weekend bag. I am so impressed with the style and quality of this backpack and will definitely be shopping with Knomo in the future for more bags as they have such a great selection from clutch bags to card holders and totes.

The outfit looks cool. I’m actually careful with this pink trend as I don’t want to look too sweet. I try to choose pieces in “old” pink or that one which ballet point shoes comes in. Fortunately, thanks to the trend it’s quite easy to find some 🙂

I totally get you! I’m the same, staying away from the bubble gum pinks and going for more mauve pinks, blushes and nude pinks x
