Casual Uniform

23/05/2017

Happiest Tuesday to you my loves! I'm back with another outfit post and after a long break from my casual uniform of blue jeans and white top; I just had to bring it back for the culture! Now don't get wrong, I've been absolutely enjoying bringing more colour and sass to the blog in the form of mustard dresses and pinks to make the boys wink . It's not to say I won't bring more such looks to the blog in the very near future but I did miss being in my comfort zone. Nothing says super cool and easy to me than a white top and some blue jeans and if you're a day-one reader you'll know this.

Top - Primark (sassy alternative)
Jeans - H&M (alternative)
Converse - JD
Bandanna - New Look

I obviously had to do a little better than just a casual tee and jeans so cue this amazing blouse from Primark. Yes you heard it right Primark! I have seriously been loving Primark lately and I must say they have massively upped their game in terms of style and quality. This top was an absolute steal at £10. I loved it so much that I went for it in a size 12 when my size wasn't available. It ticks the boxes for being on trend with the flared sleeves, tie up details and peplum without breaking the bank. It's also the perfect light fabric for the spring/summer and the dot detailing is just the right level of interest needed to elevate it and make it look a little pricier than what it actually is.

For styling I decided to balance out the light fabric with some on trend denim and my battered Converse sneakers. I felt that this pairing gave the look that casual, edgy vibe and adding the bandanna choker was the perfect finishing touch. I did toy around with the idea of curling my hair for this look but in the end I settled for straight tresses. Curls might have made the look 'fussy' which wasn't what I was going for. I'm glad that I kept things simple in the end and I couldn't be happier with the finished look.

I plan to layer this top underneath some pinafore dresses when the weather gets warmer. Don't you just love it when you can style up an item in a number of ways? That's exactly what I plan to do with this baby so do keep your eyes peeled for more looks. Also I'd strongly advice that if you happen to walk past a Primark; you go in and grab this top.  You won't regret it.
