Spring Accessories

So in my previous post, I spoke about how I was finding it a little bit hard to balance blogging, a full time job as well as other social and personal obligations. I started off with a moan about how hard it all was but by the end of the post I had a plan of action which I had all intentions of implementing. This didn't happen. It didn't happen because I failed to organise myself or get my act together but simply because of the horrid weather we had last week which forced me to cancel my trip to London. Like seriously, how bizarre was last week's weather? It started off with days going from sunny to snowy in a matter of seconds to a full on snow-down! I got caught up in it last Thursday night and it literally took me 3 hours to complete a journey that usually takes me 40 minutes. It was so bad that I couldn't even go in to work on Friday and that all coaches to London last Saturday got cancelled. You can imagine my disappointment (not at the missing work bit but at the missing London bit lol).

I was really looking forward to shooting some fresh new content for you guys as I've been updating my spring wardrobe and I'm so excited to show you guys what's new-in in my wardrobe. Unfortunately that's not going to happen for at least another week because my photographer didn't have any free slots for the weekend coming up. Yes, I'm bummed but hey! The show must go on right?

I ended up roping Marcus in to shoot these pictures for me and I'm so glad with how they turned out. Marcus hasn't helped me with my blog pictures in ages because previously when he used to try and help me we'd just end up arguing and be in a mood with each other for the rest of the day. I'm glad to report that this shoot went without a hitch and we actually has so much fun shooting together. Now I'm not saying I'll be commissioning him to do my pics permanently but it was nice to have his help this weekend and I absolutely appreciated it. It meant we got to spend some time together and that I could show off this *Baker Boy hat and *bag that I received last week from the beauts over at Dorothy Perkins. I'm always moaning about how accessory poor I am and it was such a cute surprise to come home to some spring appropriate accessories that I know I'll wear a lot this spring. All we need now is for Spring to actually show up.

While we wait for dear old Spring to make an appearance I thought I'd take these babies out for a spin and shoot them for you guys. I like how they complemented an otherwise basic outfit of mom jeans and a white tee and they reminded me of the importance of having good accessories in your fashion arsenal. They really can transform an outfit. I will definitely be buying more accessories over spring and summer to update and freshen up my day-to-day outfits. I think this will really help me elevate my look a little bit without forking out on a whole new wardrobe.

Anyway, I hope you enjoyed this quick post and that it will suffice until I get down to London and shoot some proper fire for you guys lol. I seriously can't wait! Please let me know your favourite places to shop for accessories down below so that I can arm myself ahead of my shoot. I'll be ever so grateful.

Until then, have a good week!
