New Chapters

Hey Dolls! Happy New Year!!! There's something about the new year that makes all of us very reflective as well as very anxious and excited about the year to come and trust me all those emotions are going through me right now.

As I type this out I'm lying in bed wonderfully exhausted from a great weekend because I just celebrated a birthday on Friday which was New Year's Day and me and my friends went down to Manchester for the weekend to celebrate. I turned 26 for those wondering and as I get deeper into my 20's I'm realising that the things I want in life are beginning to change and evolve as I also grow as a person.

It's very scary being 26 I won't lie because I feel like I should have it "all figured out" and that's the main source of my anxiety but you know what? I don't have it all figured out and this year I am determined to worry less because I can be such a worrier at times and I've noticed that the time I spend worrying takes away from the joy in my life and the things I should be thankful for like life, good health, great friends & family and an amazing boyfriend. What I will do instead is work my ass off to achieve the goals that I have set myself personally, spiritually and financially and I will enjoy life and not sweat the small stuff and ultimately have a positive outlook on life. I don't know where I'll be in life this time next year but I know that I'm very happy and grateful to even see 2016 and I know what I want from this year and I'm going to work my fam fest to achieve it, that's all I can do after all!

Anyway, it is still a Monday so before I go I'll leave you guys with what I wore on Friday for my birthday breakfast at Coté Brasserie with my boyfriend. I wore this stunning brocade shift dress with a pair of black heels and a black clutch and I love how this look turned out, especially paired with my new bob. What do you guys think of this outfit?
